“Lucrative”!

– “I don’t understand you.”
– “I’m pretty simple to understand.”
– “You’ve made it big in life. Obviously,
you have an eye for opportunities.
This is a lucrative chance.
Yet, you say no to it. Why?”
– “Simple. I don’t find it lucrative.”
– “Everybody else would.”
– “That’s the thing with success.
Everybody is built for it.
But everybody is too busy being
an “everybody”. Like a shoal of fish.
Profiteers bait them with
a “lucrative” idea; everybody rushes at it.
That’s how you get trapped in a net.”
– “So how to know what’s actually lucrative?”
– “Lucrative is a subjective idea, my friend.
Success is a result of our personality,
reflecting at its best.
And we’re all uniquely different.
And so is success for each one of us.
The path itself moulds into destination.
And the walk must suit us, individually.
When I make my choices,
I ask myself three questions.
One. Does the path resonate with me?
Two. Does the walk resonate with me?
Three. Of course I’ll have to adapt a bit,
but would I enjoy what I may become?
The goal isn’t to grab what’s out there.
The goal is to unlock it within.
And it’s success, only when
that creation helps us express our selves;
rather than make us lose ourselves.”
